Research Abstract |
The purpose of this research is to clarify the reciprocal influence between French critic Andre Breton and Mexican photographer Manuel Alvarez Bravo. They met at Mexico City and work together from 1938 to 1940. We try to demonstrate that Breton wrote his texts on Mexico, taking as a model Alvarez Bravo's photographs of Mexico.
