Research Abstract

We analyzed the T-cell receptor beta-chain gene rearrangement by using high-throughput sequencing in patients who received unrelated cord blood or bone marrow transplantation. Immune reconstitution represented by T-cell repertoire diversity at 1 year after cord blood transplantation was comparable to that observed at 1 year after unrelated bone marrow transplantation. The frequency of each T cell clone dynamically changed after cord blood transplantation. We also suggested that the complementarity-determining region 3 sequence of T-cell receptor beta-chain of viral-specific T cells may be shared between patients.
