Outline of Research at the Start

本研究は、研究代表者と問題意識を共有する次世代のメディア史研究者を中心に組織され、『現代メディア史』の中国語訳やハングル訳に関わるメディア研究者、同様の関心を抱く欧米のアジア研究者を研究協力者に迎えて、空間的にも時間的にも拡大した新たなテキスト『東アジア現代メディア史』を共同執筆する基盤の形成をめざしている。まず、その理論的枠組みとして『現代メディア史』で使用されている説明概念の東アジア全体での適用可能性を国際的・学際的に再検討し、成果として論文集を最終年度に完成する。
