Outline of Research at the Start

この研究は、唐朝の制度を調べる上で極めて重要な書物である『唐会要』について、信頼できる校訂本を作成することを目的とする。
唐王朝の諸制度は、遣唐使等を通じて古代日本にもたらされ、「律令制」の形成に大きな影響を与えた。したがって、唐の制度を正しく解明することは、日本古代史に対する理解を深める上でも重要である。ところが、唐代史の基本文献の中には、校訂が不十分なままに広く流布しているが間々ある。『唐会要』はそうした書物の代表格と言ってよい。この研究はこうした現状を打開すべく企図されたものなのである。
