Outline of Research at the Start

地下に埋蔵され目に見えない考古遺跡の情報を3D-GIS化し、文字に記された歴史と、地形・地質・周辺環境などの地理情報と連結することにより、奈良時代～平安時代の古代寺院の立地・造営・景観について詳細を解明する。またその時間的変遷を文献に記録された社会史、地層中に残された災害史と連携することで、専門分野を超えた立体的、総合的な叙述を可能にすることを目指す。
