Outline of Research at the Start

2010年代以降、地中海越えの移民難民は危機として取り上げられ、欧州の移民研究でもっとも関心を集めるテーマとなった。しかし、「危機」という問題設定では当の移民難民の軌跡を内在的に理解できない。なぜ移民難民は特定の地に定着し、あるいは移動し続けるのか。異なる帰趨をたどった人たちの違いは何か。本研究の関心は、地中海越えをめぐるリアルな認識にもとづき、国家間／国家内の移動と定住を規定する要因を解明することにある。具体的に歯、マルタ、シチリア、ミラノ、パリに住むチュニジア、セネガル、バングラデシュ、ナイジェリア出身の地中海越え移民800名に対する聞き取り調査により、上記の問いに答えることを目的とする。
