Outline of Research at the Start

ニーマンピック病C型 (NPC) は、進行性の中枢神経脱落を伴う遺伝性疾患ライソゾーム病
に分類される。これまでの報告や当方の結果を統合すると、secretory-endosomal-autophagic-lysosomal-exocytic経路における異常と脂質代謝が関連すると仮説を立てるに至った。さらに、患者の発症時期や症状等の他、予後は多様であり、遺伝子変異と分子病態機構の関連は未だ明らかでない。そこで本研究では、遺伝子編集技術と時空間オミクス解析を駆使し、脂質分子と病態の連関を解明し、本疾患のみならずライソゾーム病、神経変性疾患の脂質クオリティ基盤を構築する。
