Outline of Research at the Start	モダニズム作家たちがいかにポストヒューマン的発想を文学作品に描いてきたかを論じるために、まずはモダニズムの先駆者としてのヘンリー・ジェイムズの幽霊物語をポストヒューマンの観点から研究し、モダニズムの中心作家としてヘミングウェイ、フィッツジェラルド、フォークナーの戦争テクノロジーの表象を検討する。また同時期のSF小説も扱うことによって、既存のポストヒューマン研究との接続を図る。
