Outline of Research at the Start

本研究は、中国文化圏の庭園を並列的に俯瞰し、中国発祥の空間様式が、他国文化にどのように根付き発展したかを読み直す研究で、これまでの各国の通史的伝統庭園研究とは異なる。2011年度から中国庭園を初め、韓国、ベトナムと沖縄庭園において中国庭園様式の伝播を詳細に分析し、研究成果を発表してきた。本研究は、中国と日本の文化の交錯が最も明確に確認され台湾の庭園で行うもので、一連の研究の中において極めて重要な位置づけの調査となる。特に清代末期から日本統治期の庭園に的を絞り、空間様式の伝わり方に関する総合的な分析に加え、汎アジア圏の庭園文化における自然観と空間形態を包括的に解明する基礎研究のひとつとなる。
