Outline of Research at the Start

放射線治療での治癒が難しい局所進行した悪性腫瘍に対して、「リアルタイム腫瘍免疫監視放射線治療」という概念を導入し、放射線治療によって日々変化する腫瘍免疫環境をリアルタイムに監視し、反応を見ながら照射線量の調整や、免疫療法の追加など、個別化した治療戦略を提供する事を目的とする。従来のCTやMR画像といった形態的な評価だけでなく、免疫細胞活性化に関わるサイトカイン分泌、腫瘍浸潤リンパ球の動態などの腫瘍免疫微小環境を、主に血液採取によってリアルタイムに監視し、効果的な放射線治療の実践を目指す。
