Outline of Research at the Start	競技者は、心理・精神的問題を介して逸脱行動や精神疾患発症に至るケースが少なくない。実際、精神疾患に直面している競技者は34～60％と極めて高いのにもかかわらず、多くが治療や支援に繋がらない。そこで本研究は、対策が取り残されている育成年代や若年の競技者とその指導者を対象に、①精神症状や疾患に対する認識（誤解・偏見と正しい知識・理解）の実態とインパクトを把握する。さらに ②現場のニーズを踏まえ精神症状や疾患に対する正しい知識・理解の向上を目指した教育教材の開発を試みる。これにより、競技者の心の健康対策に繋がる基礎的データとニーズに基づく教育教材を提供できる。
