Outline of Research at the Start

近現代アジア圏における美術をジェンダーの視点から捉え直すことを目的とする。アジア地域における女性の美術を、これまでの伝統的な男性中心の記述から解放し、女性を含めた新しい美術史を記述し直す。
女性の労働力率のM字カーブの問題で、女性美術家の場合は40歳代以降の伸びが他の職業ほど顕著に見られない。その理由を日本及びアジア各地の複数の女性美術家へのインタビューを通して個別の分析により跡付け、今後の次世代の女性美術家がより活躍しやすい社会環境を提言する。
