Outline of Research at the Start	本研究は、戦後日本、特に第二次世界大戦後の占領期日本のラジオ放送に取り込まれた民衆の声を、日米におけるマルチアーカイヴァル調査によって解明するものである。先行研究では、戦後日本の放送民主化改革は「マイクの開放」という表現で形容され、「ラジオで民衆の声が流れる＝日本の民主化達成」との前提が成立してきたが、肝心な声の内容解明は進んでこなかった。資料的制限を乗り越え、日米アーカイブに眠る民衆の声の突き合わせからしか立ち上がり得ない占領史を描出するとともに、戦後民主主義の作られ方・あり方を考える新しい視座を、学術界と社会に対して提示することが、本研究の目的である。
