Outline of Research at the Start

タキサン系や白金製剤などの殺細胞性抗がん剤は、高頻度で末梢神経障害が発生し、患者のQOLを低下させる。抗がん剤誘発性末梢神経障害の発症には個人差があり、個人の末梢神経障害発症リスクに合わせた抗がん剤の適切な投与計画の確立は、極めて重要な課題である。申請者は、基礎研究において、血液凝固因子であるトロンビンが、抗がん剤誘発性末梢神経障害に関与する知見を得ていたため、血液凝固活性と末梢神経障害の関係に着目した。そこで本研究では、異なる特性を持つ複数のデータベースを解析し、患者ごとに異なる血液凝固活性が、抗がん剤誘発性末梢神経障害発症のリスク因子として有用であるかを明らかにする。
