Outline of Research at the Start

移民や民族的マイノリティがマジョリティを中心とする社会の中で適応する中で、言語の使用は本人にとっても周囲にとっても重要な関心事となる。言語の在り方は、意識的にも無意識にも、アイデンティティをはじめとする心理の影響を受ける。とりわけ音声は、本人も意識しないような微細なところで、様々な影響によるバリエーションを持つ。本研究では、言語学・音声学・社会心理学の協同により、異分野のアプローチを統合する方法を模索し、それによって言語・音声とアイデンティティの関係を探る。
