Outline of Research at the Start

近年、寄生生物による「延長された表現型」の分子機構解明が進みつつある。しかし、「そもそも寄生生物や内部共生生物は、系統の大きく異なる宿主の生体システムに介入するための機能分子（遺伝子群）をどのように獲得したのか？」という進化上の大きな謎がある。本研究では、多様なハリガネムシとその宿主群のゲノム解読により、行動操作の進化における、宿主から寄生者への大規模な遺伝子水平伝播の普遍性と多様性を検証する。
