Outline of Final Research Achievements |
In order to find policies for the promotion of locally initiated renewable energy projects in Japan, projects which meet the criteria on the community power were drawn from the nationwide cases. Their way of decision-making, finance, and profit distribution were examined. It was found that the relationship to the local government was one of the keys to project realization. Therefore, a questionnaire survey was done for all the municipal government in Japan which asked their policies for the promotion of renewable energy. As the result, characteristics of the municipalities which were positively promoting renewable energy were revealed. Especially, those who were promoting renewable energy other than solar power for the purpose of revitalization of the region had found much importance. Support for such a municipality was found to be needed.
