Outline of Final Research Achievements

We have obtained various important new results such as covariant formulation of the Matrix theory, complete action for superstring field theory, three-point function of N=4 supersymmetric Yang-Mills theory, lattice formulation of N=2 SYK model and extended string field theory for massless higher-spin fields.

Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements

主に基礎的な部分で長年の懸案であった問題に対して、解決あるいはその糸口を与えるような成果を得ることができた（共変的行列理論や開いた超弦の場の理論の定式化など）。また新しい解析手法の提案もできた（格子上のN=2SYK模型やフェルミオン行列式のゼロ点を境界に持つレフシッツ・シンブルの経路積分への評価法など）。いずれも新たに解析が可能になったことで今後の成果が期待される。
