Outline of Final Research Achievements |
This study considered the mechanism and policy making process of the long-term government under democracy through historical analysis of the Sato Eisaku Administration (1964-1972) which is the longest in power. The analysis was mainly based on the newly found historical papers kept by Kusuda Minoru who was the Executive Secretary to the Prime Minister. We studied from three angles; diplomacy, internal administration, and Kusuda's roles, and exhibited the results by various means such as academic articles and TV documentary programs.
