Outline of Final Research Achievements |
In this experiment, most advanced form of corneal endothelaila keratoplasty, DMEK(Descemet’s Membrane Endothelial Keratoplasty), for Japanese eye was successfully established. DMEK provides fast visual recovery with high visual acuity. Also, DMEK has almost no immunological rejection. I have also successfully devloped original tools for DMEK. Additionally, I investigated in vivo postoperative microstructure of the cornea after DMEK.
