Outline of Final Research Achievements |
This study aimed to examine factors related to self-management for people with diabetes, based on the social-ecological perspective, which explains that people’s behaviors are influenced by broader factors. We conducted the retrospective study of medical records and questionnaire survey for patients with diabetes. The results showed that self-management for people with diabetes can be influenced by personal factors which are arisen from the background of differentiation and collaboration of medical care. This study also demonstrated the future fusibility of Japanese version of Chronic Illness Resources Survey, which is a tool to measure multiple levels of resources related to self-management form people with chronic illness.
