Outline of Final Research Achievements |
This study focuses on the appreciation of works of art by persons with various disabilities, addressing the issue of venues and modes for art appreciation by these individuals in light of the disheartening status quo, which is that there are few opportunities for them to appreciate art due to their differences from persons without disabilities. The major theme of this study is “visual art and other arts that are open to enjoyment by all,” a theme that is explored and clarified before turning to the actual creation and presentation of works of art that can be appreciated by persons with disabilities as well as by everyone else.
