Outline of Final Research Achievements

The purpose of this research is to develop a fast and accurate image retrieval system on distributed processing environments. The main result is on security issue of the image retrieval system. A new encryption method referred to as "Perceptual encryption" has been developed for JPEG 2000 encoded images. The perceptual encryption can encrypt images without any loss of the advantages of encoded images. This result was accepted as a lecture paper included in the processing of ICASSP 2015, which was well known as one of the top conference on signal processing. Moreover the perceptual encryption method has been extended for video compression and the result was accepted and presented at IEEE conference ISCIT 2015.
