Outline of Final Research Achievements |
This research aimed to reconsider Giordano Bruno's philosophical thought on the plurality of worlds from the following three points of view: (1) the ontological base and ethical connotation expressed in Giordano Bruno's Sigillus sigillorum, (2) the Renaissance music theory as part of the intellectual history of the plurality of worlds, (3) the naturalization of cyclical view of history in Renaissance and Early Modern philosophy. The research succeeded in revealing the significance that Bruno's theory on the plurality of worlds still retain in our days.
