Outline of Final Research Achievements |
In order to clarify the usefulness and measurement method of diffusion weighted images in breast cancer, we showed that the apparent diffusion coefficient (ADC) was significantly different between noninvasive cancer (DCIS) and invasive cancer. Among invasive cancers, a negative correlation between ADC value and cell proliferation index (Ki-Labeling index) was confirmed. As a measurement method, histogram analysis of the entire tumor volume was performed and compared with the usual ROI method. The average value of the ROI method was confirmed to be a sufficient method as well as the histogram parameters.
