Outline of Final Research Achievements |
Recently the new cancer agents, molecular target drugs, bring the new cancer therapies and make good effect to untreated cancer before. At the same time, the new side effects appear. On this project, we study Sunitinib that has the frequent side effect of the taste disorder and reveal the mechanism of taste disorder which is comparison with Zn deficit animal model. VEGFR-1 was expressed at the fungiform papilla and these positive cells were TypeIII. The animal model given the Sunitinib showed the atrophy of the fungiform and filiform papillae. Moreover, Zn deficit animal model that was the classical model of taste disorder, demonstrated no change of peripheral taste system but decrease of PBN nuclei in the central nerve system.
