Outline of Final Research Achievements |
The aim of this study was to define the state of the career development and the career needs of nurses working at a clinic in an urban area and a rural area. Data was collected from a total of 13 nurses through a semi-structured interview. On their career tracks, all participants had the experience of working at a hospital before re-employment, and almost everyone decided to change their workplace to the clinic in order to give priority to their work-life balance rather than their interests of the specialty. However, many participants mentioned that they were trying to find a responsible role and to carry them out in the clinic through the job experience like patient-care with the doctors and any other colleagues such as secretaries. Therefore, there is a possibility that the nurses working at a clinic have been developing their professional abilities through their job experiences, which differ from those of the hospital.
