Outline of Final Research Achievements |
I have studied the developmental change of heterospecific eavesdropping ability of Oplurus cuvieri to compare the ability of auditory learning between vocal animals and non-vocal animals. I found the clear evidence on the developmental change of responses in the eavesdropping of O. cuvieri. This result suggests that developmental change on the ability of auditory learning may make this developmental change in the eavesdropping. Then I surveyed the auditory learning ability of the lizard. However, I could not show any clear evidence on associate learning between auditory stimuli and aversion.
