高尿酸血症フェブキソスタットはABCG2を阻害するため、メトトレキサートの排泄を阻害し副作用を増強する可能性がある。一方、ドチヌラドはABCG2を阻害しないことが報告されており、ABCG2の基質となる抗がん剤の毒性を増強しないことを明らかにできれば、高尿酸血症治療薬の変更で副作用の未然回避が可能となる。さらに、ドチヌラドを用いた腫瘍崩壊症に対する安全で効果的な治療法の開発が可能となる。
