古建築材や出土材はどこから運ばれて来たのだろうか。木材の産地が特定できれば、当時の人間の行動範囲や他集団との交流、森林資源の利用実態や枯渇状況を具体的に記述することが可能となる。その実現にむけ、本研究では、気候により変動する樹木年輪の酸素同位体比と、地質により変動するストロンチウム同位体比を統合することにより、精緻な同位体地図を作成して、木材の産地を高精度に推定する。
