Outline of Research at the Start

これまでの視覚認知研究は「与えられた環境でどのように振る舞うか」という主体が環境に対して受け身の状況における認知を検討してきた。これに対し、本研究は、主体が環境に対して能動的に関与し、「どのように環境を構築して行動するか」をターゲットする。これに挑むことで、経験によって作られる視覚特性と視覚情報処理を効率的にする環境の構築・選択を一連の流れとして捉え、環境との相互作用の結果として認知に多様性が生じ得ることを実験的に検証する。
