Outline of Research at the Start

イタリア共和国ミラノ市立ソルマーニ図書館には、スタンダール＝ブッチ・コレクションがある。これは19 世紀フランスの作家スタンダール（本名マリ＝アンリ・ベール、1783-1842）の蔵書であり、小説家の没後、友人ドナート・ブッチとその家族によって保存されてきた987 冊の書物から成る。その大半には作家自身による書込みが数多く残されており、きわめて貴重な資料的価値を有している。本研究では、人文情報学の手法を用いて作家の書込みの網羅的なデータベースを構築し、テーマや年代などの分類による多角的な考察を試み、得られた成果に基づいて作家の生涯や作品の成立等に関する従来の学説を実証的に再検討する。
