Outline of Research at the Start

本研究の目的は、日本人英語学習者のスペリング能力を向上させるために必要な方法について、教師の指導と自己学習を効果的に組み合わせたアプローチを提案し、有益な指導および学習方法を開発することである。EFL環境において、どのような指導や学習がスペリング習得を促進させるかを検証することは、学習者の「書くこと」への意識や意欲を高めることに貢献できると考える。スペリング能力の強化がもたらす効果の検証や、指導と学習を組み合わせてスペリング習得を促進しようとする本研究の取り組みは、これまでに例を見ない。EFL環境で英語を学び、スペリング習得に課題を抱えている学習者への支援にもつながることが期待される。
