Outline of Research at the Start

Knowledge of the solvent and solute electronic structure is essential for understanding electrochemical processes in liquids. I will develop methods to directly quantify liquid-phase surface potentials and electronic-structure changes of both solvents and solutes via photoelectron spectroscopy.
