Outline of Research at the Start

脂質メディエーターは生理機能を持つ修飾脂肪酸であり、特に12-Lipoxygenase (12-LOX)酵素が関与するものは重要だが、その供給が乏しく研究が遅れている。これまで哺乳類や齧歯類の12-LOXのみが報告され、微生物由来の研究はなかった。本研究では、申請者が発見した微生物の12-LOX活性を解析し、新規酵素を同定するとともに、様々な基質を用いた12-LOX産物の生産系を構築する。これにより脂質メディエーター研究の発展と応用が期待される。
