Outline of Research at the Start

本研究では、多量に発生するスギ樹皮バイオマスを有効利用するために、樹皮の主要構成成分であるにもかかわらず、まだ明らかになっていないスベリンや他の代謝産物の化学構造を決定するとともに、それらの成分を含むフィルムを製造して様々な機械試験を行い、化学成分と物性の関係を理解し、疎水性及び耐候性の機能性向上の要因解明を行う。その結果の利用により、スギ樹皮から作製した素材の機能性を大きく向上させ、スギ樹皮の特性を十分に活かした新規素材を開発する。
