Outline of Research at the Start

本研究では、絨毛細胞を維持、分化させるための栄養膜幹細胞（TS細胞）が妊娠中期以降の胎盤にも存在し、妊娠高血圧腎症(PE)、胎児発育不全(FGR)などの胎盤形成・機能不全においてはTS細胞自体に異常が生じている、という仮説を証明するため、妊娠中期以降のさまざまな時期の、正常および病的胎盤からTS細胞を同定、培養樹立するとともに、それらの遺伝子発現、機能の差異を網羅的に解析することで、PEおよびFGRの病態形成の一端を解明するとともに、病的胎盤におけるTS細胞の機能を補正するという、PE、FGRの根本的治療法の創出を目指す。
