Outline of Research at the Start

加齢に伴う運動機能低下と軽度の認知機能低下は、高齢者の要介護および認知症発症の要因となるリスクが高い老化現象である。ヒトの運動機能低下とのちの認知症発症リスクの関連が深いことは示唆されているが、老化動物モデルにおいて両者の関連を検証した研究は限られている。本研究では、自然老化動物の運動・認知機能および小脳シナプス可塑性の解析を行う。老化における各指標の関連を明らかにし、身体的フレイルと認知機能低下の相互関係および介入法の検討を試みる。
