Outline of Research at the Start

喘息における気道の知覚神経機能不全は、日中の咳症状や咳感受性亢進と関連し、従来の喘息治療にしばしば抵抗性を示す。一方で、それらに関連する実用的なバイオマーカーは乏しい。申請者らはこれまでに、機能性ディスペプシア(FD)合併喘息患者の咳感受性が亢進していることを初めて明らかにした。今回、FDの病態と関連する腸内代謝物として胆汁酸に着目し、①喘息や慢性咳嗽患者の血清胆汁酸を網羅的に解析して病態との関連を探索する、②FD合併喘息モデルマウスを用いて胆汁酸の消化管運動機能や喘息病態への効果を検討することで、咳や咳感受性を反映するバイオマーカー、そして治療標的としての血清胆汁酸の意義の確立を目指す。
