Outline of Research at the Start	小児における慢性腎臓病(CKD)とその合併症は、成長ホルモン(GH)シグナルの障害やGH抵抗性状態に伴う成長障害を引き起こす。成長障害に組み換えヒトGH補充療法は有効であるが、最終身長が健常児並みになることは難しく新たな治療法が期待されている。申請者はこれまで、GH作用に抗老化因子α-klothoが関与する可能性を見出してきた。本研究では小児CKDに伴うGH抵抗性に及ぼすα-klothoの影響を明らかにし、成長障害克服を目指す。
