Outline of Research at the Start

低活動膀胱（Underactive Bladder: UAB）は、排尿筋の収縮不足による排尿障害を来す下部尿路機能障害の一つであり、重症例では根本的治療がない難治性疾患である。その中でも小児期発症のUABは、遺伝学的背景の影響が強く示唆されている。本研究では、当院で尿流動態検査により診断した小児期発症の特発性UAB12症例（11家系、兄弟例を含む）を対象に、全エクソーム解析を実施し、膀胱・神経発生に関連する責任遺伝子に着目した遺伝子変異の解析を行う。これにより、小児特発性UABの遺伝的背景を解明し、新たな診断指標および治療法の開発に向けた基盤を構築することを目指す。
