| Outline of Final Research Achievements |
We developed the method to estimate the daily occupancy rates about individual hotels,areas,hotel types by using daily data on the number of room vacancies for accommodation packages at hotels.Furthermore,we developed natural language processing methods in order to estimate popularity factors about hotel plans and tourist spots.We could obtain meaningful knowledge by empirical analysis using the natural language processing methods.Generally,it is necessary to consider various situations in sightseeing to design appropriate sightseeing routes according to tourist satisfaction.We developed a solution algorithm to obtain the better personal sightseeing route efficiently. Our method has become possible to construct a sightseeing route to match the preferences ofindividual tourists and the situation in sightseeing.The articles mentioned above are our main research results.

本研究成果の学術的意義は、観光学分野ないしは観光産業から希求されている実証的意志決定に対して、データに基づき横断的に有効な方法論を研究開発する全く新たな取り組みである点である。本研究は、これまでの観光学が学問体系は存在するのかといった声が聞かれる中、人間・社会の認識科学を高度化するのみならず、新たな「観光科学」分野創生を支援することに繋がると考えられる。
本研究成果の社会的意義は、観光分野でデータサイエンスが主導するビッグデータ活用の本格的研究であり、観光政策、観光産業に必要なデータサイエンス技術を提供することで、国内外のエビデンスに基づく観光政策、観光産業活性化に寄与することである。
