Outline of Final Research Achievements |
This study examined the influence of psychological pressure on selection and execution of motor skills. Experiments 1 and 2 examined the influence of pressure on variables of the prospect theory using a quoits task. Results showed that added pressure led to increase of loss aversion. Experiment 3 examined the influence of pressure on feedforward and feedback control of a rapid aiming task. Results showed that the increase in movement time under pressure was attributed to the increase of feedback control of the task.
