Outline of Final Research Achievements |
In this research, I examined the cultural value and the diversity of haikai by paying attention to the haikai's function as a "culture linking people".So I researched documentary records of haikai. As a result I could make an inference that in edo-period local haiku-poets could made friends with haiku-masters in major cities by participating in monthly haiku events. This prospect will re-evaluate haiku in the late Edo-period.
