| Outline of Final Research Achievements |
In this study, I tackled with two specific topics on social enterprises. One is about the market for shares in cooperatives, and the other is about the reason of existence of non-profit organizations in a mixed economy. On the former, I published two articles: One is Economic Systems (2018), which is a study from economic theoretical point of view, and the other is Annals of Public and Cooperative Economics (2016), which is a study from legal point of view. On the latter, I wrote an article titled “On the emergence of non-profit orchestras.”

| Academic Significance and Societal Importance of the Research Achievements |
民間営利・公的セクターを対象とした研究の蓄積と比較すると、社会的経済セクターに関する理論研究はまだ未開拓な部分が多い。協同組合や非営利組織の機能的特徴が理論的に整理されれば、これらの形態の企業に関する制度設計の改善に役立つことになるであろう。それは、協同組合・非営利組織形態のより広い産業分野における有効な活用を促し、ひいては、より豊かで公正な社会の実現につながりうるのではないかと考えている。
