Outline of Final Research Achievements

The purpose of this research is theoretically and empirically to analyze relationship between infrastructure and employment. Especially, infrastructure or public investment may crowd out the non- constructional employment in the labour market. We empirically analyzed that the infrastructure or public investment decrease non-construction employment and increase construction employment by using prefecture panel data.
However, we could not have statistically significant evidence which infrastructures or public investments decrease non-construction employment and increase construction employment unfortunately. We will investigate this theme in the future.
