Outline of Final Research Achievements |
From infancy to preschool age, children’s two temperamental dimensions: “effortful control” and “behavioral inhibition” appear stable. Two temperament had different influences on the self-regulation behaviors in the interpersonal situation. Children with high on the effortful control show high on self-regulation behaviors, such as self-assertive aspects and self-control aspects, toward siblings. Children with low on the behavioral inhibition show high on self-assertive behaviors toward peers. Two temperament had influences on the behavior problems; Children with high on the behavioral inhibition show internalizing behaviors and Children with high on the effortful control does not show externalizing behaviors.
