Outline of Final Research Achievements |
A compensatory reading strategy is important in achieving reading comprehension among children with specific reading disorders. This study aimed to investigate the relationship between the episodic buffer and conventional working memory components, and it confirmed that the episodic buffer is an independent component. Furthermore, it was found that the effect of intervention in reading meaningful words among children with specific reading disorders is based on the working memory model with the episodic buffer component. The results that reading was promoted was thought to be due to the compensatory reading strategy.
