Outline of Research at the Start

肺がん再発は、生存率低下の主要因だが、その予防や治療の実現に不可欠な分子メカニズム解明は進んでいない。本研究では、術後再発と非再発の肺がん患者の腫瘍検体を用いて、細胞接着装置であるタイトジャンクション構成タンパク質の量・細胞内局在・遺伝子発現量などの網羅的情報を統合的に解析し、再発との関連性を多層的に評価する。さらに、再発の鍵となる上皮間葉転換(EMT)の誘導との結びつきを、バイオインフォマティクス解析およびEMTモデル細胞を用いた実験的手法で検証し、再発促進の分子メカニズムを解明する。この知見は、再発予防・治療を目的とした新規分子標的(バイオマーカー)の発掘に繋がるため、実用性が極めて高い。
