Outline of Research at the Start

ストリゴラクトン（SL）は、植物の枝分かれを制御する植物ホルモンとしての機能と、貧栄養下において根圏に放出され、アーバスキュラー菌根菌（AM菌）との共生を促進する化学コミュニケーション物質としての機能を併せ持つ。内生のSL代謝を制御することで、SLの多様な生物応答を自在に制御することが可能だと考えられる。本研究は、SL代謝を制御する分子作動薬の開発により、植物の枝分かれ制御とAM菌を介した栄養獲得の両立を目指す。
